With the Neutron Star, you're getting very close. During development, the focus was on creating the "jack-of-all-trades" for everyday cutting tasks.
You no longer need to choose between washers or ball bearings. The knife comes standard with high-precision ball bearings on hardened steel washers. But for those who prefer a more traditional feel, additional phosphor bronze washers are included and can be swapped one-to-one with the bearings.
The handles are made of lightweight titanium, not only providing a low weight but also offering exceptional durability compared to wood or plastic materials.
The blade, crafted from powder metallurgy CPM S35VN steel, combines wear and corrosion resistance with outstanding toughness. This steel was specifically designed for knife-making — unlike many other steels repurposed from unrelated industries.
The blade features a precise hollow grind and a razor-thin edge ground down to approximately 0.45 mm. Its size strikes the perfect balance between compactness and high usability — the sweet spot for everyday and EDC use.
The deep-carry pocket clip is recessed into the titanium with a milled cutout and secured using flat-head screws. This discrete integration, combined with the perfectly tuned clip tension, ensures effortless pocketing without stressing your pants.
The modern yet understated design of the Neutron Star has been continuously refined since 2016 and has even won a design competition. This makes it not only a practical tool but also a stylish accessory that looks great in photos and videos.

Neutron Star feels perfect in my hand - I was worried it'd be a bit on the small side when I ordered, but it's ideal for a pocket carry.
The matte finish on the body doesn't feel rough or "fuzzy" like some blasted finishes I've experienced, which can end up feeling uncomfortable/gross against skin, it looks and feels good.
The edge slides through fabric and paper, but I haven't used this for anything like cardboard yet. At the moment it's still too new and pretty to scuff.
The action is satisfying and feels solid. This is my first modern frame lock and it doesn't feel like a big step back from compression or axis locks, it's nice. Rear stud takes some getting used to for reverse flick, but it's doable, I fidget with this quite a bit now.
Really happy with the purchase. The only thing that I wish it had was an integral body, so I dont have to worry about edge damage if I drop something else in my pocket with it. But then they wouldn't have been able to do the sexy honeycomb machining to lighten it.
