The Karok is where Miguron's value proposition gets hard to argue with. A 3.4" D2 blade, stonewash finish, button liner lock, and handle options that range from no-nonsense aluminium to glow-in-the-dark G10 — all at $74.95.

D2 tool steel needs no introduction in the EDC world. High carbon, high chromium, excellent edge retention, and a hardness that keeps a working edge through genuine daily use. The stonewash finish on the Karok is well-executed — consistent, tactile, and effective at hiding the micro-scratches that accumulate on any carry knife. At 3.4" and 0.1" thick, the blade geometry hits the sweet spot for a utility carry: enough steel to do real work, not so much that it becomes unwieldy.

One detail worth knowing about Miguron's D2 that sets them apart from most of the competition: the hardness has been pushed to 62–63 HRC and independently verified — not a factory claim, but a tested result. That matters more than it might sound. Most production D2 knives are heat-treated to 58–60 HRC, which is the safer, easier range to manufacture to consistently. Pushing D2 to 62–63 HRC requires tighter heat treatment control and higher quality steel stock, but the payoff is meaningfully better edge retention — you're sharpening less often, and the edge that comes back is sharper and holds longer. At the price Miguron charges, 62–63 HRC D2 is genuinely unusual, and the independent verification means you're not just taking their word for it.

The handle is Green aluminium. The button liner lock lets you close the knife cleanly with your thumb clear of the blade path, the tip-up clip carries deep, and the overall package at 7.6" and 100g sits comfortably in hand without feeling bulky.

The Karok doesn't try to be more than it is. It's a well-made, well-priced everyday carry that gets the fundamentals right.

Miguron Karok, Stonewashed D2 Blade and Red Aluminium Handle

The Miguron Karok with the 3.4" stonewashed D2 blade and red aluminium handle is my new favourite everyday carry knife. The stonewashed finish gives the blade a rugged, premium appearance while doing a great job of hiding everyday wear and scratches.

The D2 steel holds an edge well, making it reliable for a wide range of cutting tasks. The blade arrived razor-sharp out of the box.

What really stands out is the vibrant red aluminium handle. It provides excellent grip, feels lightweight in the pocket, and adds a distinctive look that sets it apart from other folders. The fit and finish are impressive, with smooth deployment, solid lock-up and a comfortable ergonomic design.

Overall, the Miguron Karok offers outstanding value, combining quality materials, attractive styling, and dependable performance. Whether you're a collector or looking for a practical everyday carry knife, this is an excellent choice at a nice price point.

The Miguron Karok is an excellent-looking knife that combines great materials with a fantastic overall design. The 3.4" stonewashed D2 blade has a rugged and practical appearance. The anodised blue/purple titanium handle is the real standout with a premium and distinctive look. The matching blue pocket clip is a great finishing touch and ties the whole design together nicely. The knife feels solid and well made in the hand, with a comfortable, confident feel and a smooth overall action. The blade size is also a great balance between useful cutting capability and everyday carry. The blue/purple titanium is absolutely gorgeous and I'm very happy to have it in the collection.
