The RT-Steed in satin finish is the Steed for people who want M390 performance and carbon fibre construction without the DLC coating — either as a personal preference or because they want to see the steel.

A satin-finished M390 blade wears differently from DLC. Scratches and micro-abrasions blend into the surface over time rather than showing as stark marks in a dark coating. It's a blade that ages naturally, develops character, and shows the quality of the steel directly. At 59–61 HRC, M390 holds an edge longer than most steels in production regardless of surface finish.

The handle is identical to the DLC variant: multicoloured carbon fibre with titanium plating, button frame lock, caged ceramic ball bearings, titanium hardware throughout, 7.87" overall, 113.5g. The $20 saving over the DLC version reflects the blade finish alone — everything else is the same flagship spec.
