The Koala proved how much a compact knife can do. The Koala Plus takes the same idea and scales it up, giving you more blade and more handle for people who want a little extra capability, while keeping it small enough to carry every day.

Compared with the original, the Plus grows in every useful direction. The blade goes from 2.56" to 2.99", the overall length from 5.83" to 6.96", and the blade is wider at 29.7mm. That added length and height give you more cutting edge for food prep, boxes and rope, along with a fuller grip that fits larger hands comfortably. At 76.3g it's heavier than the Koala but still light for a knife of this size, and at 3.97" closed it fits easily in a pocket.

The blade is now Sandvik 14C28N, a Swedish stainless steel developed specifically for knife blades. Its nitrogen-enhanced chemistry gives it a fine, even grain structure, making it notably tough and resistant to chipping, and highly resistant to corrosion. At 60±2 HRC it holds a keen edge and comes back sharp quickly on a stone or rod, which makes it an easy steel to live with. The 3mm blade stock is unchanged from the original, so the Plus keeps the same slim, precise cutting feel despite the larger blade. A stonewash finish gives the blade a soft, tumbled texture that hides scuffs and wear.

The handle is G10, a fibreglass laminate set in epoxy resin. It's extremely strong, doesn't absorb water, oil or sweat, and stays the same in any conditions. Whether it's wet hands, cold mornings or years of pocket carry, it gives you consistent grip and needs no maintenance.

The lock is a crossbar lock: a spring-loaded bar that spans the handle and engages the blade tang. It's fully ambidextrous. Pull the bar back with your thumb and the blade swings closed with your fingers well clear of the edge. Ceramic ball bearings keep deployment smooth and consistent.
